ARM (Automatic Recovery Mode)

In ARM mode, the driver starts automatically after a power-up delay if the start conditions are fulfilled.

The driver will start when ALL of the following conditions are met:

  1. ✅ Modulation voltage higher than threshold voltage (>0.2-0.3V)
  2. ✅ Interlock loop closed
  3. ✅ Temperature below adjusted threshold (if NTC connected)

When interlock loop opens:

  • ❌ Driver disables the laser immediately
  • 🔴 Interlock LED starts flashing
  • Driver remains disabled until interlock loop closes

Recovery:

  • When interlock loop closes → 5 second delay → laser enabled

When temperature exceeds threshold:

  • ❌ Driver disables the laser immediately
  • 🔴 TEMP LED starts flashing
  • Driver remains disabled until temperature drops below hysteresis threshold

Recovery:

  • When temperature drops below hysteresis → 5 second delay → laser enabled

When modulation voltage is below threshold (0.2-0.3V):

  • ✅ Laser LED is ON (driver enabled)
  • 📴 Laser does NOT emit
  • Laser will emit when modulation voltage rises above threshold
  1. Disconnect or switch off the power supply
  2. Set Mode jumper (install the jumper on the MODE connector)
  3. As long as the jumper is set, the driver will start in this mode
  4. Connect or switch on the power supply

The laser will emit if all start conditions are met after the 5-second power-up delay.

Continue Monitoring
  • Automatic operation - No manual intervention required
  • Automatic recovery - Resumes after fault conditions clear
  • Simplified setup - Ideal for automated systems
  • Continuous monitoring - Always checking safety conditions

ARM mode is ideal for:

  • Automated production systems
  • Remote installations
  • Applications requiring automatic recovery after power loss
  • Systems with external safety interlocks
  • Temperature-controlled laser systems
