Control Elements

The iLD driver board contains the following control elements:

NumberDescription
1Input connector
2Output connector
3Power transistor
4Shunt resistor
5Potentiometer for BIAS and GAIN current, temperature setpoint
6Measuring points for temperature setup
7Connector with 2.54 mm grid for a key switch
8Connector with 2.54 mm grid for the “MODE” mode jumper or a switch
9LED indicators

The board features precision potentiometers for setting:

  • BIAS current (lower limit/threshold current)
  • GAIN current (upper limit/maximum working current)

The TEMP potentiometer allows adjustment of:

  • Temperature monitoring threshold
  • Temperature setpoint (when TEC controller is installed)

The mode connector allows selection between:

  • ARM Mode (Automatic Recovery Mode) - jumper installed
  • Standard Mode - jumper removed

The connector uses a standard 2.54mm pitch, compatible with:

  • Shorting jumpers
  • External switches for remote mode selection

In Standard Mode, this connector accepts:

  • Key switch
  • External start signal
  • Remote enable/disable control

Two test points labeled “TEMP ADJ” are provided next to the TEMP potentiometer for:

  • Measuring resistance during temperature setup
  • Verifying temperature threshold settings
  • Calibration with different NTC sensors

Points above the shunt resistor allow measurement of:

  • Reference voltage proportional to laser diode current
  • Real-time current monitoring
