Potentiometer Controls
Section titled “Potentiometer Controls”Current Control Potentiometers
Section titled “Current Control Potentiometers”The board features precision potentiometers for setting:
- BIAS current (lower limit/threshold current)
- GAIN current (upper limit/maximum working current)
Temperature Control Potentiometer
Section titled “Temperature Control Potentiometer”The TEMP potentiometer allows adjustment of:
- Temperature monitoring threshold
- Temperature setpoint (when TEC controller is installed)
Mode Selection
Section titled “Mode Selection”Mode Jumper/Switch (Element 8)
Section titled “Mode Jumper/Switch (Element 8)”The mode connector allows selection between:
- ARM Mode (Automatic Recovery Mode) - jumper installed
- Standard Mode - jumper removed
The connector uses a standard 2.54mm pitch, compatible with:
- Shorting jumpers
- External switches for remote mode selection
Start Signal Connector (Element 7)
Section titled “Start Signal Connector (Element 7)”In Standard Mode, this connector accepts:
- Key switch
- External start signal
- Remote enable/disable control
Measuring Points
Section titled “Measuring Points”Temperature Adjustment Points (Element 6)
Section titled “Temperature Adjustment Points (Element 6)”Two test points labeled “TEMP ADJ” are provided next to the TEMP potentiometer for:
- Measuring resistance during temperature setup
- Verifying temperature threshold settings
- Calibration with different NTC sensors
Current Measurement Points
Section titled “Current Measurement Points”Points above the shunt resistor allow measurement of:
- Reference voltage proportional to laser diode current
- Real-time current monitoring
